- Before installing the filter, turn off the water supply to your refrigerator.
- Locate the filter housing in your Kenmore refrigerator. The filter housing is usually located in the upper right corner of the refrigerator compartment.
- Press the release button on the filter housing to open the door.
- Remove the old filter by turning it counterclockwise and pulling it out.
- Remove the red cap from the new filter and insert it into the filter housing.
- Twist the filter clockwise until it locks into place.
